DEPUTY COUNTY CORONER:  This position is under the direction of the ADLC Coroner.  Position remains on call 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED equivalent with some knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.  Must attend a 40 hour basic coroner course schooling and must attend a 16-hour advance coroner class every two (2) years.  This person must possess a valid Montana Driver’s License.  This person must have the computer skills including the ability to use Word, Power Point and Excel, must have the ability to use digital cameras and the ability to use office production equipment.  This person must have the ability to conduct inquests, determine death, lift heavy bodies, and work in unpleasant surroundings.

Full-time Deputy Clerk for the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Justice Court Department.  This is a Union position.  Starting salary is $14.72 per hour.  Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Position requires an above knowledge of court procedures and terminology; bookkeeping; accounting; 10-key adding machine; filing; record keeping; and various computer systems.  A complete job description is available at the Chief Executive’s Office at the Courthouse and the Anaconda Job Service.  Current Teamster Union Local #2 Clerical employees will have preference.

Firefighter/EMT-B – Anaconda Fire Department. Salary: Probationary Firefighter – $39,858.65 annual base wage.  Advanced EMT Licensing is preferred but not required.  This position will be “Swing Shift” and will cover leave hours for sick, vacation and holidays.  Hours are 24 hour shifts.  Applicants must reside within the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Fire District upon being confirmed by ADLC.  The Firefighter/EMT-B Position falls under the general supervision of the Fire Chief.  Duties include fire and emergency medical response and transport as well as operation and maintenance of equipment.  Firefighter/EMT’S are required to participate in fire prevention programs, inspections, general maintenance and cleaning of fire department. Lifeguards:     Under the general direction of the Pool Manager/Parks & Recreation Director/Recreation Coordinator, applicant must be able to administer first aid, CPR, and Lifesaving techniques (for teaching swim lessons), must be able to maintain and adhere to all Red Cross safety rules, take oral instruction from pool manager, willing to work weekends and evenings, dependable, honest, reliable and responsible, and have good communication skills with adults and children of all ages.  Applicant will be responsible for monitoring activities in the pool and swimming areas, making sure all safety rules are followed, cleaning of swimming pool, deck area, weight room, basketball courts, lifeguard room, boys and girls changing rooms & bathroom areas, watering of lawn, picking up litter in and around pool building, handling money, issuing receipts and maintaining daily cash & attendance records.  Applicants may be exposed to chemicals related to pool maintenance supplies such as pool chemicals, cleaning agents, disinfectants, slippery surfaces, and all basic summer weather conditions.  Must have First Aid, CPR, and Lifesaving certification (to teach swimming lessons).
