Recycling Partnership Program

Anaconda-Deer Lodge County partners with local non-profit organizations to promote and collect recycling throughout the year. Proceeds from eligible recycling (aluminum beverage cans, corrugated cardboard, and metals) brought to the landfill benefit our recycling partner during their term. This year's partners are AHS HOSA (Jan 2023) and:

Applications for the program are now available. Apply for the Recycling Partnership Program here! Application deadline is December 15, 2023.


Sort Materials

Please have your disposal materials sorted into the categories Class III, Compost, and Recyclable metals. These wastes are characterized by their general inert nature and low potential for adverse environmental impacts.

Reminders

Customers dropping off larger items, must be able to unload items without assistance from landfill staff.

All items brought to the landfill may be accepted or rejected at the Landfill Managers discretion.

Business Licenses

If you are a business doing work in Anaconda, you must show proof of a current business license. To obtain a business license, phone the Planning Department at 406-563-4010.

Unlawful Dumping

Unlawful dumping of household waste items in the landfill is prohibited. Violators may be subject to a $500 fine.
